Senior Section

Our Senior Section provides for players of all ages and abilities. With the intention of winning as many games as we we can, we always aim to do so in a developmental, enjoyable and inclusive environment.

Growth

The section has grown substantially in the last 10 years, from one running three teams playing league cricket on a Saturday to one boasting six league teams, two midweek X1s and competitive T20 sides which play in both the Wiltshire Wallop and the National ECB T20.

Rallying a minimum of 66 players for 18 weeks in the summer is a challenge. But it is a  challenge we have met thanks to a very committed senior section and a growing number of junior players pushing for places.

Facilities

The growth of all of the Club’s playing sections has also been challenging from a grounds and facilities point of view.

Thankfully, our joint venture agreement with neighbouring Sheldon School has allowed us to create the necessary two additional grounds and pitches.

And thanks to our wonderful, volunteer ground staff, who are working across all three grounds, we are able to play cricket close to each other, each and every week.

Our Teams

The 1st X1 currently competes in the West of England Premier League, Premier 2, after spending three years in Premier 1.

The squad is primarily made up of players who have risen through our junior ranks.

In addition to our 1st X1, we have five other league sides competing in the Wiltshire County Cricket Leagues, ranging from Division 1 to Division 10. This diverse range of divisions allows players of all skill levels to participate and enjoy the game, whilst also providing clear pathways for our juniors to progress into senior cricket.

The Wiltshire Wallop, which is the premier 20-over competition in the County, has been running since 2013. We were crowned champions in 2022.
