Women’s Section
We are the Chippenham Diamonds, Chippenham Cricket Club’s section for women and older girls. We are well established and still committed to further growth and skills development. Importantly, we are very welcoming and sociable.

We play in the Wiltshire women’s Hardball and Softball cricket leagues, as well as the Wiltshire x Somerset 35-over Hardball league. We are currently the reigning 2024 T20 Hardball league champions, the 100 Ball Hardball champions and indoor league plate winners.
Throughout the summer, we have Softball training every Wednesday (weather permitting!) from 6.30 to 8.30pm and on Fridays we have a hardball net session from 5.00 to 6.30pm.
During the winter, our training sessions take place indoors, in the Sheldon Sports Hall on Saturday mornings from 9 to 10am.
Softball
Softball, being the introductory level of cricket, is played with plastic bats and balls and is all about maximum fun and minimum fuss. It is a game for all, regardless of skill level, fitness, age or ability.
We are the only club in Wiltshire to have had 2 Softball teams in both the winter indoor cricket league and now the summer league, alongside attending several Softball festivals throughout the summer.

Hardball
As a natural progression from Softball, we offer players the chance to play in the Wiltshire Hardball pairs league and for more experienced players, we have teams entered into the Wiltshire 25-over league.
Our Social Gatherings
In addition to actively participating in the Club’s social activities more generally, we arrange events and tours of our own. We embrace the Club’s commitment to provide a whole-family environment.
