Women’s Section
We are the Chippenham Diamonds, the ladies’ section of Chippenham Cricket Club, where we are committed to having fun whilst growing women’s sport, developing your skills and welcoming ladies of all abilities from age 13 upwards.
We play in a multitude of cricketing formats, so there is something for everyone.
For beginners, we offer Softball cricket , either socially a festivals or in an inclusive pairs league against other teams in the County.
We also take part in a Softball 100-ball knockout cup for a bit more of a competitive edge in the Softball format.
For those looking to give Hardball cricket a go in a less competitive environment, we have two teams entered into the County Hardball pairs league – same rules as Softball but with all the Hardball kit involved.
This league is the perfect progression from Softball to Hardball with the league not allowing any County players to take part, encouraging more novices to give it a go.
If you are looking for competitive Hardball cricket, we also enter a T20 league, as well as a 35-over league, a 100-ball knockout cup and new for 2026, a T20 knockout plate competition.
In 2025, we came away with 4 league trophies, winning the Softball pairs A and B leagues, as well as the Hardball pairs league and the indoor pairs league.
Our Social Gatherings
At Chippenham Cricket Club, we really embrace the whole-family ethos, arranging lots of social gatherings both during the summer an in the off-season, to stay connected and have fun.
